“Yesterday, today, and tomorrow Kappa Alpha Theta exists to nurture each member throughout her college and alumnae experience, and to offer a lifelong opportunity for social, intellectual and moral growth as she meets the higher and broader demands of mature life.”
I hope that through this site you will be able to get a sense of what the women of Rho Chapter have to offer. Each and every one of the girls in this house is driven, thoughtful, and beautiful- on the inside and out.
Kappa Alpha Theta is dedicated to living by the Fraternity’s four points of the kite: personal excellence, leadership potential, commitment to service, and intellectual curiosity. Every single woman in our chapter represents what it really means to be a well-rounded woman. We hold ourselves to high academic standards, leadership abilities, enthusiasm for philanthropies, and are dedicated to creating personal relationships with the girls in not only our house, but in other sororities and fraternities as well.
Our national philanthropy is CASA- Court Appointed Special Advocates. This organization provides love, support, and protection to children in the court system in our local community. In the fall we hold our annual 5K for CASA run, and this spring we are hosting a new philanthropy, Carnival for CASA, for people not only in the Greek community but throughout our all of UNL as well. Along with supporting Theta’s national philanthropy, we are involved across campus and in the community to help in as many ways as we can.
Not only are Theta girls involved with service around the community, but they thrive as role models and leaders across campus as well. There are so many ways to get involved and connected with girls in the house. Whether it’s student government, dancing away at Dance Marathon, cheering on the athletic teams as a Husker Spirit Squad member, or joining an Honor’s Society with your best friends, there’s a place for everyone in the house to get involved across campus. There is truly never a dull moment in the house, and I personally have made some of the best memories and friends through Kappa Alpha Theta.
I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to lead some of the most genuine, hard-working, fun, and loyal women that have changed my life for the better. If it weren’t for the women in Theta, I would not be the person I am today and for that I am truly thankful. Theta truly is for a lifetime, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us all.
Theta Love & Mine,
Chief Executive Officer
